Ideas for multimedia stories

1) UNH students travel to Africa for Winter Break
I know a few people who went to Tanzania, Africa to volunteer at an orphanage, where they would help teach young orphans.  I talked to them when they got back, and their trip turned out to be a very rewarding and life changing experience.  I think that they all have great stories to tell.  From I can see, it changed their lives forever. They also have a lot of photos and video footage of when they were there, so those would be great to add along with shots of the interview.

2) UNH crew team
The sport of rowing is pretty unknown to much of the world, so I thought it would be awesome to do a story on what the UNH crew team is all about.  I rowed crew in high school, and it is a very demanding sport: both physically and mentally.  A lot of people don't know this, so what better way to educate people than to actual rowers talk about the world of crew with some footage of actual regattas and practices?

3) The Avett Brothers
This idea is a stretch, but if it worked it would be an absolute blast to work on.  The Avett Brothers, a popular folk band, are coming to UNH in April.  I am a big fan, so making a video with footage and interviews with members of the band would be a great experience.  I doubt this could actually happen, but it never hurts to try!
